1km+ in open air. Through typical farm obstacles - sheds, trees, small hills - figure on around 800 metres for a wall Switch and 600 metres for a Remote. We've reached 7.5km with clear line of sight, and 8-12km with a good external aerial.
For most Australian properties, the house reaches the pump, the gate and the shed without anything fancy. If a particular metal shed is dampening the signal, the Controller has built-in diagnostics: ping the device, check signal strength, turn up the transmit power, or move the antenna outside the shed.
Mountain country, deep valleys or unusual property shapes are worth a phone call first. We'll be straight with you - if it's not going to work for your place, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose the sale than sell you something that won't work.

Who does what
Electrician on the 240V. You on everything else.

Anything mains powered - the Controller's mains supply, the Relays wired into your pump, irrigation valves, shed lighting, gate motor, or any 240V load. That's the rule, and it's non-negotiable. Standard electrical work.
You handle
Everything wireless - Switches, Remotes, sensors. Pick a spot. Stick them up. Pair them to the Controller in seconds. Move them. Change what they do. Add new ones. No call-out needed.
All 240V work must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and local regulations.
