Who is You.InControl

You.InControl is a trading name of Encore Construction Services Pty Ltd (ECS Pty Ltd), ABN 74 098 982 195, based in Canberra, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that entity.

12-month warranty

Every You.InControl product carries a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery. If it fails through a manufacturing or material defect during that time, we'll repair it, replace it, or refund it - our choice.

What's covered

The warranty applies only to system items we have supplied - Controllers, Switches, Remotes, Relays, and any other products on our product list.

We are not responsible for third-party equipment connected to or controlled by the system (lights, pumps, gates, motors, appliances, etc.), or for any other goods we did not supply.

What's not covered

• Damage from accident, misuse, or installation that didn't follow the product manual or Australian electrical standards.
• Damage from work performed by an unlicenced person on parts that require a licenced electrician.
• Damage from modifications or third-party parts we didn't supply or approve.
• Wear and tear from ordinary use over time, including rechargeable battery capacity reduction beyond a reasonable life.
• Third-party equipment connected to or controlled by the system.

How to make a warranty claim

1. Email enquiries@youincontrol.net or call 0408 026 905.
2. Tell us your order number, the product, and what's happening.
3. We'll respond within two business days with what to do next.

Most issues can be resolved over a quick phone call without sending the product back. If we do need to inspect or repair it under warranty, we'll cover the return shipping - we'll arrange a prepaid satchel or reimburse the cost.

Don't send anything back without contacting us first - items received without prior authorisation may be delayed or declined.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights

Our goods come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You're also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Our 12-month warranty is in addition to these rights - not a replacement for them.
