Yes, absolutely. It works without WiFi, internet, or mobile reception.
Do I need an app?
No. The system is designed to work without apps, accounts, or cloud logins.
Is it private and secure?
Yes. Communication is encrypted and stays local to the property. It does not rely on cloud servers which is typically where privacy issues arise.
What can I control with it?
You can control almost anything that turns on/off or opens/closes — lights, pumps, gates, irrigation, sheds, access points, fans, motors and much more.
How far does it work?
Range depends on the environment, but the system is designed for long-range control well beyond ordinary WiFi — expect up to and over 1km out of the box. The system also allows adjustment to go further.
Is You.InControl DIY?
Yes, most of the You.InControl system is DIY. However, all mains powered parts must be installed by an Electrician.
Do I need an electrician?
