Who is You.InControl

You.InControl is a trading name of Encore Construction Services Pty Ltd (ECS Pty Ltd), ABN 74 098 982 195, based in Canberra, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that entity.

What we collect

We collect personal information that you give us - your name, email, phone number, delivery address and order details - when you contact us, sign up to our newsletter, or place an order.

Our products do not collect data from your home or property. The wireless control system operates entirely on your premises. No data leaves your property.

Why we collect it

To process orders and arrange delivery, to respond to enquiries, to send updates if you've signed up to our newsletter, and to meet our legal obligations (such as keeping tax records).

Who we share it with

Our online shop is powered by Shopify. When you place an order, Shopify processes your payment and stores your order and customer details. Shopify's own privacy practices apply to that processing - see shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Australia Post (or a similar carrier) receives your delivery address to deliver your order.

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We don't share it with anyone else unless we're required to by Australian law.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept for at least seven years to meet ATO requirements. Other personal information is kept only for as long as we need it.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email enquiries@youincontrol.net and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in the email.

Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies - only those required to run the site and the Shopify checkout. We don't use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No internet-based system is perfectly secure, but we do our best to keep yours safe.

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact us first at enquiries@youincontrol.net or 0408 026 905. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
