The fastest way to understand the system
There is no better way to understand You.InControl than diving straight in. The Starter Kit has everything you need to set up a working system, see what it can do, and start building from there.
Most people pair their first devices in under five minutes. Within an hour they're triggering things from across the room. Within a week they want to add more.
What's in the box

1. Controller
The brain of every You.InControl system. Pairs every device, holds the rules, runs the diagnostics. Essential.

2. Remote
A handheld wireless remote. Clip it to the sun visor, drop it on the kitchen table, or carry it in your pocket. About three years of battery life between recharges.

3. Relay-8
An eight-channel relay for switching 240V loads. Wired in by a licenced electrician. Highly flexible - lights, fans, pumps, gates, outlets, more.

4. 240V to 12V transformer
Powers the Relay-8 and gives it the low-voltage rail it uses to drive things.

5. MicroUSB cable
For charging the Controller and the Remote when they need it.
What you can do with it on day one
Plug the Controller in. Plug the transformer into the Relay-8. Power both up. Hold the pair button on the Remote and the Controller will detect it within seconds. Press a button on the Remote, and any channel on the Relay-8 you've assigned it to turns on or off.
That's the whole system in one paragraph. Once it makes sense on the bench, you start thinking about where it can sit on a property:
- ✓ Turn the front lights on from inside the house, or from the car as you arrive home.
- ✓ Stop the bore pump from the kitchen instead of driving out to the paddock.
- ✓ Open the gate from the ute without getting out.
- ✓ Trigger multiple circuits with one button - the "Goodnight button" pattern, the "All lights" panic button, scenes for kids' bedtime.
What's with the price?
To some, $450 for a Starter Kit is expensive. To anyone who works in control and automation, it is cheap. Some have told us we could charge double.
We don't want to. We want this technology in front of as many Australians as possible, so we've priced the kit to be reasonable and accessible while still letting us keep building the system.
It is not for everyone. But once you see what's in the box - and what these devices can do - the value adds up quickly.
What you'll need on top
The Starter Kit is the system. For a permanent install on actual 240V equipment, you'll also need:
- → A licenced electrician to wire the Relay-8 into your house, shed or property circuits. That's the law for any mains work.
